hey ho! time flies….i just realized its friday today….thought it was still like a wednesday or something!

anyways, the contest is closing soon, this sunday is the last day, the radio station is calculating the points now. just wondering if i shud close off this blog or leave it here for memory sake?

well, good luck to all other contestants and its been great being part of this. at least this is one crazy thing i’ve ever done in my life~

problem uploading…

we have to let mix.fm know what we have been doing by uploading the images online. i seem to have trouble uploading my images and theres always error about the “length”???

and if its this hard, then how in the world would spotters know how to download? they will just give up la…

can someone help me??

day 10 – gala night at Tunku, KLPac

i was excited when Fang called up and say, hey you wanna watch Tunku? i was like…sure! been wanting to watch that, when? then she goes….this Wednesday, i’ve got tickets….and its gala night…..its formal!  and the prime minister is going to be there too!

and so first thing i thought of is ika, serena c and pietro! building castles in the air, i thought i might have a chance to take a personal picture with Pak Lah himself!

so anyways, the night was last night! suddenly panic attack..because upon arriving there, there were police and datuk-datuk, datin-datin all there……this has to be my MOST embarrassing night. Seriously, i was looking at the cardboard in my car and was contemplating whether or not to bring it down. imagine how awful i will look????

after braving myself for 5 mins, juan you can do this. no one will remember you anyway! i brought it out, walked towards the entrance and already ppl were staring at me. i was soooo embarassed that i was hiding behing ISP and even have them facing me instead of the crowd. meaning the crowd is just seeing this while board floating in the air!

but my fears went away, when a very nice man approached me. He walked pass me and saw the cardboard and say, dear, u deserve to win! i smiled. THANK YOU!!!! and i told him, i’m soo soo embarassed. i dunno how i can braved myself to walk in! then he goes, no! you shouldnt! you are doing a great job! then there was this photographer near us, and he goes, come lets take a picture and get the photographer to take a picture of us and say, she deserves to win! phew~ i was relieved.

after having some trouble getting my tickets cause they were no where to be found, Dato faridah Merican came and helped me got my tickets. shes such a lovely lady and i dont mind working under her and a thing or two!

as it was about time to get into the theater, i had to leave the ISP somewhere and not block everyone’s view to the show. there were few things going on before the show starts. some speech here and there then there was news that the PM cud not make it….but we have MEL GIBSON in the house! woots!

the show was awesome and my eyes went teary when the character “Syed’s son” died. *sob sob*

once again, my sincere thanks to Fang and everyone for taking the time to “layan” me.

been working lehh

just heard over the radio today that there is already a top 10 contestants with the most points. well well, i must congratulate all of you for your efforts. unfotunately on my side, i’ve been so bz with work, godzillion meetings, deadlines and meeting new clients that i really have no time whatsoever to go around maybe if i work as hard as i did for the cardboards, i might just earn myself 50grand from pure hardwork sweat! hehe

apart from that, i do HOPE i’ll be able to get off work early today and head down to KL for some publicity till tmmr, updates remain for now. cheerio~

place with listeners?

its been 7 days. and after being to quite a number of places over the week i actually came up with a simple conclusion.

1) theres not much use going to places that dont listen to mix.fm, they dun care what you were carrying.

2) we must know our right target audience

3) 1Utama, The Curve, Mid Valley and Amcorp has most mix.fm listeners.

4) KL Sentral is a big no-no

well well well, what can i say. this competition is getting heated. its been a full 7 days now living with the cardboards, and for that matter, its getting worn out specially having to live inside a kelisa, which isnt really the most spacious means of transportation!

anyways, i was just googling to see what the other competitors are doing, i stumbled upon a blog that mentions about our ingenious alter-ego bunting creation. hahahahahaha

heres what she wrote :

so anyway i wanna express my dissatisfaction about other contestants who have MADE A NEW BUNTING OF THEMSELVES AND THE ISPC IN ONE and walk around with it HIGH IN THE AIR with the word ’spot me’ on it…probably expecting to be spotted by a camera far away maybe…(ya ya i get it..but i thought one contestant was supposed to have ONE cardboard cut-out?)

i am sure the other 4 contestants who were with me today would say the EXACT SAME THING

that is not fair especially for those of us who have been about carrying the ISPC and stopping to pose with it and hand the name and ic stuff over..explain….

i don’t call that ‘creative’…..
i call that CHEATING

day 5 – MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!

was suppose to wake up at 5.45 am to beat the jam and goto Dataran Merdeka, but i suppose sleep took my brains over and i woke up at 8.30am instead. my body was still tired coz the night before, after the party at the curve, i did some props for Merdeka.

i prepared a bunting to get more attention cause after waving my cardboards in the air at the curve the night before, i realized that….hey, if my cardboard went on TV, my face is freaking too small for anyone to recognize! thats nooooo good.

so i spent some money, got the bunting up and went to Dataran Merdeka at 10am. haha, when people are leaving, i was walking in, it was still happening as i was walking in

^ teamwork. we are going to share the money. 2 cardboards are better than 1 right?
